2024: “The Year of Overstuffed Closets and Heartfelt Goodbyes!”
Happy New Year! As we bid farewell to 2024 and shuffle our sentimental clutter into 2025, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the rollercoaster of a year that was. Buckle up for some laughs, a few heartfelt moments, and possibly a rogue Christmas ornament still stuck in storage.
JANUARY: New Year, Same Closet Chaos The year began with resolutions aplenty—”Marie Kondo-ing” the living room, hitting the gym (or at least driving past it), and finally tackling that junk drawer that’s been mocking you since 2012. Many of you chose the noble route of renting a self-storage unit to “create space” at home, which is code for “hide the stuff you’re not ready to deal with yet.” We salute you!
MARCH: Autumn Cleaning Shenanigans Ah, the season of dust bunnies and lost socks! Our facility was buzzing with activity as you rediscovered items you didn’t even know you owned: vintage VHS tapes, mismatched Tupperware lids, and that inflatable pool flamingo that somehow fit in your car. (Still trying to figure that one out, aren’t you?). YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
JULY: The Great Winter Shuffle Winter brought cosy nights, warm drinks, and the mysterious disappearance of single gloves (Lenny or Stanley are responsible, not sure which one though). For many of you, we became your unsung heroes of winter—protecting everything from grandma’s porcelain collection to that $4,000 road bike you swore you’d ride more often (once it warmed up, of course).
SEPTEMBER: Spring Renewal With flowers blooming and the promise of warmer days ahead, you embraced spring cleaning with gusto. Our storage units saw a mix of seasonal swaps—winter coats went in, outdoor furniture came out—and a few emotional reunions with items long thought lost (hello, high school magazines!).
DECEMBER: Holiday Mayhem Our busiest month! Decorations emerged from their hibernation—blow-up Santas, dazzling string lights, and that wreath that looks like it’s seen better days. And let’s not forget the annual ritual of realising, once again, that you’ve somehow lost half your ornament hooks. Oh, and the big boats are back. “Woo Hoo!”, says Stanley. He loves barking at those.
A Heartfelt Thank You 2024 may have been a year filled with clutter (both physical and emotional), but it’s also been a year of connections. We’ve loved being part of your journeys—whether you were storing memories, making room for new adventures, or simply trying to figure out where to put that giant beanbag chair. Thank you for trusting us with your treasures, trinkets, and, let’s be honest, the stuff your partner wanted to throw away, but you refused. Happy Wife Happy Life! A motto to live by or a way to keep living.
As we step into 2025, we’re here to remind you that no matter what life (or your closet) throws at you, we’ve got the space you need—and a sense of humour to match.
